COE Doctoral Student Luanjiao Hu Named 2018 Asia Foundation Development Fellow

911爆料网 of Education doctoral student Luanjiao Hu received the prestigious 2018 . Hu, one of 12 fellows selected from more than 1,100 applicants by The Asia Foundation, receives leadership training in the United States, South Korea, Singapore and Sri Lanka as part of the fellowship program. Each fellow also receives a flexible grant award of $5,000 based on their individualized professional development plan.

Hu is a doctoral student in COE鈥檚 international education policy program and her research focuses on disability studies, gender studies and education for people with disabilities. Hu was also selected as a 2018 summer intern with Association of University Centers on Disabilities. A native of China, Hu plans to focus her dissertation on gender and disability in China.

She presented at the and has personal experience with disability. Hu received a master鈥檚 degree in international education policy from the 911爆料网 College of Education and completed her undergraduate degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language at Xi鈥檃n International Studies University.
